SZYDŁOWSKA DRIED PLUM from our farm has successfully passed a control of production process conformity with registered specification. It is certified to use indications and symbol of Protected Geographical Indication – certificate no nr PRT/0490/20, PRT/0491/20.
Suszona Śliwka Szydłowska (Szydłowska Dried Plum) was entered in the Register of Protected Designations of Origin and Protected Geographical Indications of the European Union on October 30, 2010, Council Regulation (CE) 510/2006. The geographical area of Szydłowska Dried Plum production consists of Szydłów municipality (108 sq km) in Staszów county, Świętokrzyskie Voivodship, Poland
Szydłowska Dried Plum is dried and lightly smoked using traditional method, in sheds heated with hardwood – 1 kg packaging. Plum with seed preserves taste and aroma for much longer. Such fruit can be stored in a cool and dry place for up to 2 years. Our traditional drying method “on the sticks” is the oldest method for processing and storing fruits. Thanks to light smoke aroma from the drying process, the plum can be stored for long time without use of any preservatives. 100% natural product.
Beneficial features of dried plums
Dried plums have multiple health benefits – they regulate digestion, strengthen the bones, are valuable antioxidants thanks to vitamins A and E content. Plums have many valuable minerals: potassium, iron, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus. Plums have plenty of B-class vitamins, therefore since ages they enjoy the opinion of fruits calming the nerve system and improving the mood.
